GNI Group has one of the richest product pipeline in China. Products under development all target large global unmet medical needs. Our lead candidate product, F647, for the treatment of radiation-induced pulmonary inflammation (radiation pneumonitis) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, has completed Phase II clinical trials in China. We obtained a New Drug Approval for IPF in September, 2011. Our second product, F351, a drug designed to treat liver fibrosis/cirrhosis and kidney fibrosis, has complete a human Phase I trial with satisfactory safety and PK profiles. After discussion with SFDA, Phase Ib trial is under preparation. IND of our third drug candidate, F573 for acute liver failure, has been filed in 2011. Most of the drug development research have been done by in-house team.
We are committed in developing drugs that will alleviate pain and treat symptoms for which no such drugs yet exist. Our Western-standard integrated drug development programs in China provide the infrastructure to support our ongoing therapeutic development. GNI’s extensive research capabilities enabled us to collaborate on research projects with various international pharmaceutical companies. Our primary focus is on developing drugs that treat a broad range of conditions associated with inflammation and cancer. These conditions are particularly common in Asia and are the leading causes of death. Our research results have been published in the world's leading scientific journals, such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, USA, in hopes of aiding progress in all scientific communities.
